Case Study: DFCC Coalition Branding

PG Creative first began working with Drug Free Charlotte County in 2006 when the coalition was first formed in Port Charlotte, Florida to help combat one of the highest alcohol and drug use rates in the state.

The agency initially designed the coalition’s logo and over the years has helped them develop and maintain their brand identity, including their quarterly newsletters, their website and other collateral materials. By cultivating a strong brand, the coalition has succeeded in becoming a consistent community presence in Charlotte County. In addition to brand development, PG Creative has also created DFCC’s social norms campaigns on an annual basis for both middle and high schools and has also helped them develop several parent initiatives including Be the Wall and Verify Truth.

In 2012, Drug Free Charlotte County was named Coalition of the Year by the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America. Today, Charlotte County has seen marked improvement in youth substance abuse, showing steady decreases year after year since 2002, according to the Florida Youth Substance Abuse Survey.
